Joseph “Joe” Charles Saenz

On Thursday, June 18, 2020, Joseph “Joe†Charles Saenz, loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away at the age of 58. Joe was preceded in death by his father Joe and Mary Saenz.

Joe was born February 13, 1962 in Brownsville, Tx to Joe and Mary Saenz. Among his occupations he was a longshoreman at the Port of Brownsville and was extremely proud of being a deputy with the Cameron County Sheriff’s Department. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He always loved working in his yard, planting flowers, enjoying his patio, and cutting the grass. He was known for his infectious smile, quick wit, and sharp tongue. Joe will always be remembered through the lives and hearts he touched while he was with us.

He is survived by his wife Miroslava, his four children, Joseph Charles (Jordan), Samantha Michelle (Juan) , Ashley Lynn, and Stephanie Nichole, grandchildren John Michael and Olivia; his sister Linda Sanderson (Tim), Katie Saenz and numerous other close family members.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2020 from 10 AM to 1 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 12 noon at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop. Services will conclude at the end of the Holy Rosary. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville. (956) 350-8485

    Our condolences to the family. What can we say about Joe? He was a force to be reckon with. A friend who was ready and willing to help. He will be missed but will never be forgotten.
