Maria Magdalena Longoria, 92, of Brownsville, TX went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 14, 2020 in Brownsville, TX. Maria was born on October 23, 1927 in Brownsville, TX to her parents, Juan Garza and Inocencia Rios.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan Garza and Inocencia Rios and one son, Roy Lopez.

Mrs. Longoria was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. She enjoyed cooking, helping others and above all spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Guadalupe (Mary+) Lopez, Pablo (Magdalena) Lopez, Zoila Lopez, Alfredo Lopez, Janie (Joe+) Camarillo, Jesse Garza, Diana (Jorge)Hinojosa, Hilda (Dr. Leo) Gomez and Anna Garza; twenty six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral located at 1218 E Jefferson St, Brownsville, TX 78520. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

    My deepest condolences Stephanie to you and your family. I wish a had the right words to tell you that would give you comfort and ease the immense pain of losing your grandma.I know you will miss greatly because you loved her so much but I also know that she will always be with you, watching from heaven. I pray to God that he gives you and your family strength during this very difficult time. May God bless you and keep you safe.
