Ofelia Torres Padilla of Brownsville, Texas, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend entered into eternal rest on May 20, 2020 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen surrounded by her loving family. She was born in La Paloma, Texas on January 19, 1941.
She is preceded in death by her parents Luisa Padilla Guerrero and Absalon Padilla, and her brother Jesus Padilla Guerrero.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Arquimedes Torres; children Arquimedes Torres Jr., Pedro Torres, Sonia Pacapac, Eli Torres; siblings Juanita Torres, Maria Banuelos, Lupita Basaldu, Trinidad Perez, Gloria Finley, Antonio Padilla, Absalon Padilla Jr., Jose Luis Padilla, Diana Shields, and Leticia Padilla.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020 from 10 AM to 5 PM with a prayer service at 3 PM at Iglesia Camino Del Rey located at 960 W Ruben M Torres Blvd (802 FM Rd.) Brownsville, Texas 78520. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville. (956) 350-8485

A wife of a Grand Pastor a Christ follower in Christ and God has created Hna Ofelia her a valuable person with her own personality and gifts she will be missed but her knowing she is with our Father is comfort for me and my family she is my hero I have learned so much from you thanks for all your work here Love you so much.
