Jose Luis Morales, 73, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX. Jose Luis was born on July 05, 1946 in Ciudad Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Hermilo Morales and Agustina Porras de Morales.
Mr. Morales had a joyful spirit. His love for music could be transmitted when playing his saxophone. Music didn’t just run through his veins; he had the feet of a dancer and throughout this life he attended many dances where he would show off his dancing skills. It was without surprise that his wife would call him “Mi bailadorâ€. Jose Luis also enjoyed playing baseball and above all spending time with his family.
Mr. Morales is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Morales; three children and three step-children, Jose Luis Morales Jr., Sandra Morales, Leonel Morales, Daniel Figueroa, David Figueroa and Alvaro Sosa; four siblings, Francisco Morales, Jesus Morales, Hermilo Morales and Lupita Morales; twenty-four grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
We will always carry his memory in our hearts.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 PM on Monday, May 25, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory located at 657 Springmart Blvd. Brownsville, TX 78526. Christian burial will follow at 11:00 AM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
