Gerardo Cruz Silva,61, of Houston, TX entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Gerardo was born on May 29, 1958 in H. Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Amalia Cruz Silva and  Simon Guillermo Cruz.
Gerardo was preceded in death by his parents, Amalia Cruz Silva and Simon Guillermo Cruz.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Amparo Vazquez Cruz; his four children, Jose Gerardo (Violeta) Cruz, Gerardo Cruz, Alejandro Cruz, and Jazmin Cruz; two granddaughters, Victoria Cruz and Sofia Cruz; eight siblings, Simon Cruz, Juan Cruz, Jose Maria Cruz, Roberto Cruz, Fernando Cruz, Alma Cruz, Veatriz Cruz and Lucia Cruz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020, from 12:00 to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM and the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. All services will conclude at the end of the evening.
