Roman Gonzalez Hernandez ,74, of Brownsville, TX passed away on Wednesday, February 05, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Roman was born on September 8, 1945 in Brownsville, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin Hernandez and Teresa Mendez; and one son Roman Hernandez Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maricela Imelda Hernandez; children Gricelda (Juan Manuel) Cantu, Lina Aurora (Rigoberto Jr.) Trevino, Carlos Alberto and Juan Antonio Hernandez; grandchildren Ashley Marie, Carlos Alberto, Jennifer Marie, Rigoberto III, Kimberly Marie, Leonides, and Juan Manuel Jr.; and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 1 to 9 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM. Funeral mass will be held at 12 noon at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with burial to follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.
