Homero U. Garza

Homero U. Garza, 47, of Los Fresnos, TX went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Valley Regional Medical Center. Mr. Garza was born on  April 20, 1972 in Laredo, TX.

Homer was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Homer had a contagious smile and enjoyed helping and serving others. He loved his family and spending time with them, supporting his son’s sports and LFHS Band. His life and heart were his family. Homer was a long life member and served in the Christian Ministry as a Drummer at Iglesia Camino del Rey.  A self-made “Grill-Master†and fisher, he enjoyed the outdoors and fishing but cleaning the fish was not his favorite after the end of the day catch. Heaven has called an angel home. He will be missed and loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Cristina Garza; three children, Faith Garza, Cristian Garza and Suri Garza; his parents, Maria Socorro and Ricardo Rodriguez; his father, Homer Garza; two brothers, Joseph Leos and Rick Rodriguez; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM 9:00 PM on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Iglesia Camino Del Rey 960 W. Ruben M Torres Sr Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78520, with a Prayer Service being held at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 10:00 AM with a Funeral Ceremony at 11:00 AM. All Services will conclude after funeral ceremony.

    My brother was a man that was loved by many because he loved hard. He would take the shirt off his back to help someone out if he had to. His pride and joy was his wife and children. He will be greatly missed. May his voice ring forever in our hearts. Remember him every time you hear a drum beat! Keep rocking in heaven Homer Boy! I love you.
