Julio G. Silva, 66, of Brownsville, TX went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Julio was born on July 27, 1953 to Juana and Felipe Silva.
Julio was a great husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was a hardworking husband and father working for the maintenance department for Brownsville Independent School District for over 25 years. He will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juana and Felipe Silva; four siblings, Consuelo Silva, Velia Guevarra, maria Luisa Dominguez and Felipe Silva Jr.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Rosalinda Silva; five children, Laura Benavidez, Alejandra Silva, Julio Silva, Araceli Silva and Juan Carlos Silva; ten grandchildren, Adrian Benavidez Jr., Julian Benavidez, Mercedez Benavidez, Leah Benavidez, Dyanira Sierra, Samantha Sierra, John Sierra, Anthony Silva, Axel Silva and Haley Anderson; four siblings, Aurora Montelongo, Raquel Silva, Juana Kiesert and Juan Francisco Silva.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Brownsville, TX. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
