Martha E. Chavez, 70, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born in Mexico on February 22, 1949. Martha is preceded in death by her parents Eneyda Rios and Nicolas Trinidad Sanchez and her son Jorge Arturo Chavez.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Juan Chavez; children Juan A. (Angie) Chavez, Alex (Melisa) Chavez, Martha Veronica (Jesse) Espinoza; siblings Francisco Trinidad, Maria Dimas, Jesus Martin Arellano, Angel Arellano, and Pedro Pablo Arellano; grandchildren Jorge (Monica) Moreno, Juan Jose Moreno, Jorge A. Chavez, Hugo Rubalcaba, Stephanie Chavez, Vanessa Chavez, and Alexa Chavez; great grandchildren Jorge Jr., Axel, Arianna Moreno, Juan Jose Moreno Jr., Jorge Arturo, Rick Jr., and Leland Garcia.
She enjoyed music and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 1 to 9 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Services will conclude at the end of the evening.
