Maria Del Rosario Valdez

Maria Del Rosario Valdez, 67, of Brownsville, TX passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX surrounded by her loving family.

Maria was born to Herlinda Galvan and Nicolas Soto Araiza on January 19, 1952.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Luis Valdez and her parents Herlinda and Nicolas Soto; three brothers, Amado Soto (Isabel [still living]), Nicolas Soto and Jose Marcos Soto.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Belinda (Ruben) Samaniego and Jose Luis Valdez; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Samaniego, Sophia Samaniego, Barbara Samaniego and Alexa Isabella Valdez; one sister, Cira (+Placido) Ramos and two brothers, Jose Evaristo (Guadalupe) Soto and Jose Victor Soto.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Located at 657 Springmart Blvd. Brownsville, TX 78526 956-350-8485 Services will conclude at the end of the evening.
