David Michael Rodriguez

 David Michael Rodriguez, age 46, entered into enteral rest on December 23, 2019 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas after a long, hard fought battle with cancer.

      David was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on April 17, 1973. He graduated from Los Fresnos High School in 1992. In 1994, he married Dora Rodriguez and they raised two children together, Dustin and Sebryna. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Gaspar and Maria Garcia and his mother, Sara Garcia. He is survived by his two kids, Dustin and Sebryna, his sisters, Amy (Julio), Ana (Marcos), and Daphnie, his brother Cody, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

      David grew up in Olmito, Texas and became an avid and skilled outdoorsman from a young age. Hunting and fishing were two of his passions and he enjoyed doing so as much as he could. He will be remembered by his friends and family for his lively, outgoing, and warm-hearted soul along with his one of a kind infectious smile.

Visitation will be held today, Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 1 to 9 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 10 AM at Our Heavenly Father Catholic Church with burial to follow at Los Cuates Cemetery. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. (956) 350-8485
