Geneva T. Woolsey

Geneva T. Woolsey, 89, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend entered into eternal rest on December 19, 2019 at Valley Baptist Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, August 29, 1930. She will always be remembered as the caring and loving woman that she was. She was an active member of the Does and held numerous posts for over 60 years. She was also actively involved in the Cameron County Republican Party and served as their Treasurer. She is preceded in death by her parents Urban and Mabel Reger; her son Richard Samuel Woolsey Jr.; and her former husband Richard S. Woolsey.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister Shirley Parisi; her children Daniel Woolsey, Suzanne (Carroll) Kiphen, Linda (Dennis) Touchet, and Tom (Naomi) Woolsey; her grandchildren Jim (Joanne) Robertson, Susan (Richard Martinez) Ruvalcaba, Roger (Stephanie) Robertson, Michelle (Amir Esmaeili) Touchet, Trey Touchet, Tommy Woolsey, Danielle (Jacob Guerrero) Touchet, and Ariel Woolsey; her great grandchildren Annika Ruvalcaba, Drake Robertson, Asiah Ruvalcaba, and Noah Guerrero; her nephew Michael Parisi; as well as her niece Mary Woolsey Hopkins.

Visitation will be held on Monday December 23, 2019, from 5-9 PM with a Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the end of the evening. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory-Flower Shop. 657 Sringmart Blvd. (956)350-8485.
