Elvira G. Vasquez

Elvira G. Vasquez, 79 of Brownsville, Texas devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend entered into eternal rest on December 16, 2019 at Kindred Hospice Facility surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brownsville, Texas on April 27, 1940. She is preceded in death by her husband Carlos Vasquez Sr.; son Juan Jose Vasquez and her parents Juan Guajardo Sr. and Celia Guajardo.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Esmeralda Vasquez and Carlos Vasquez Jr.; daughters in law Blanca and Edna Vasquez; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters.

She was a special, caring, loving, strong person towards everyone. When you needed anything, she’d be there for anyone specially for the family. She loved to cook for everybody.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 1 to 9 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens
