Ignacio Borrego Aguirre

On Sunday, December 15, 2019, Ignacio Borrego, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away at age 72 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX.

Mr. Borrego was born on July 31, 1947 in a small ranch in Mexico.  He was an entrepreneur that established his paint contracting company in Houston, TX in 1980.  He later used his knowledge to build and acquire several real estate investments in Houston and throughout the Valley. 

He lived a long happy life and always on his own terms.  He was self-made and self-taught and set a great example for his children, grandchildren and family members.  He taught his children and anyone that would listen, that anything can be achieved through hard work and commitment.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Manuela Borrego. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Minerva Borrego and their 2 sons, Jamie and Jorge Borrego.  Also, to treasure many memories are his 3 grandchildren, Gabriella, Gaven and Isabella. 

He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed by all of us.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 with prayer service at 6 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.  After the services, family members will continue with the eulogy in celebration and memory of his life.
