Mario Martinez, 55, of Port Isabel, Texas passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his father Marcos Martinez. He was born on October 10, 1964 in Port Isabel, Texas.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother Maria Guadalupe Martinez; wife Victorina Martinez; children Maritza Lea Rodriguez-Colunga (Julio D. Colunga), Mario Martinez Jr. (Stacey Rivera), Rosalinda Martinez (Juan Mayorga), Victor Martinez, Perla Martinez; grandchildren Daniel Colunga, Ruben Mayorga, Anizza Guzman, Jaykob Colunga, Mario Martinez III, Mia Colunga, Noah Martinez, Sebastian Martinez, and Rosalie Martinez; siblings Robert Martinez (Rosy Martinez), Eddie Fuentes (Patricia Fuentes), Javier Fuentes (Farrah Fuentes), Marcos Martinez (Marianna Martinez), Omar Martinez (Juanita Martinez), and Marina Garcia (Tony Garcia).
Visitation will be he held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 1 to 9 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 10 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church with burial to follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery.
