Rosario Salinas

Rosario Salinas, 76, of Brownsville, Texas devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend entered into eternal rest on November 20, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Alice, Texas on April 13, 1943.

She is preceded in death by her parents Juan C. Rodriguez and Trinidad Rodriguez; first husband Edelmiro Olivares; second husband Sabino Salinas; and her brother Juan Antonio Rodriguez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Elizabeth (Dimitri) Quintana, Sandra Dee (Rick) Olivares-Garcia, Dubelsa O. (Rene) Trevino, Magda Soyka; siblings Rosaenna, Abraham, and Abel Rodriguez; grandchildren Eddie Olivares, Isaac Olivares, Anthony Sepulveda, Megan Rasco, Maya Garcia, Dominic Quintana, Michael Quintana, Kiana Gonzalez, Mia Garcia, and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 1 to 9 PM with a service at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 10 AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will follow at 11 AM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory-Flower Shop. (956) 350-8485

    Our heart felt sympathy goes out to the family of Rosario Salinas. Our prayers are with you. We were blessed to have known Rosario and we will surely miss her, but we will never forget her. Although Rosario’s life journey on earth has ended, take comfort in knowing that she is now celebrating a new life in Heaven with her family members that left before her.
