Gregorio Mendoza, 98, Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend entered into eternal rest on October 3, 2019 at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in La Piedad Michoacán, México on May 24, 1921.
He is preceded in death by his wife Epifania Gapiz; parents Ventura Amaro and Pedro Mendoza; and granddaughter Alondra Zamora.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Carlos (+ Virginia) Gamboa, Lucia (Manuel) Carrizales, Dubelsa Mendoza, Gregorio (Alma) Mendoza, Miguel Mendoza, Maria Landeros; one sister, San Juana Cruz; twenty grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday October 7, 2019 from 1 to 9 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 10 AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory- Flower Shop.
