Antonio R. Cavazos

Antonio R. Cavazos, 96, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on June 13, 2019 at Rio at Fox Hollow surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on December 27, 1922.

He is preceded in death by his parents Antonio Cavazos Sr. and Rosa Reyna Cavazos; wife Maria Herrera Cavazos; siblings Arnoldo Cavazos, Alfredo Cavazos, Aurelia Cavazos, Elena Cavazos Gonzalez, Zoila Cavazos Reyes; and his granddaughter Mirna Mistral Medina.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Hermelinda, Norma S. Cavazos, Teresita Cavazos Chavez, Ernesto Antonio Cavazos; sister Alicia Cavazos; grandchildren Michael, Frankie, Dean Chavez, Marcus Cavazos, Laura Rodgers and Martha Medina; great-grandchildren Estella Rodgers, Nolan Rodgers, Darla Kay Taylor, Basum Macik, Nathaniel Macik, Ian Saenz, Tristan Chavez, Joseph Chavez, and Lauren Grace Chavez.

Special Thanks, to our sister Alma Gloria Garcia, for her love and devotion to all her siblings and especially for her kindness to our Dad.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2019 from 1 to 9 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 2 PM at Immaculate Conception Cathedral Church with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory-Flower Shop.
