Eric Cortinas

Eric Cortinas, 27, of Brownsville, TX, devoted son, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on June 3, 2019. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on July 10, 1991.

Left to cherish his memory is his parents Maria del Rosario “Rosie†Garza and Epitacio Cortinas; brother Ray Cortinas; his sisters; Pearla Blanca Cortinas (Chris McCoy); Crystal Lee (Clyde) Soto-Solis; nieces Dezaray Soto Solis; Sophia Soto Solis; Alice Soto Solis; his common law wife Rosa Soto; stepdaughter Ariel Ramirez. He will be greatly missed.

Eric liked his cars, dogs, going to the beach, joking, horse playing, and helping others. He was a big kid. Todos lo conocían como “El Kid / El Nino.â€

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 12 noon to 9 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will continue on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 12 noon to 9 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. On Friday, June 21, 2019 visitation continues at 8:45 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with burial at 11:30 a.m. at Guillen Community Cemetery in Brownsville. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.
