Roberto Manuel Perez

Roberto Manuel Perez, of Harlingen TX, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest Friday February 15, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hebbronville, TX on January 20, 1941. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Roberto Perez his mother Odelia Perez and and his brother Carlos Daniel Perez.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years Minerva Elvia Perez, his children Patricia Hall (Eric), Marissa Garcia (Brandon), Adriana Davalos (Jaime), eight grandchildren and his sister Marianela Perez Garza.

Roberto served in the US Army after graduating from Hebbronville High School. While attending Texas A&M Kingsville he was offered a job at Jim Walter Homes where he was quickly promoted to regional manager. In 1974 he went onto create his business, R.M. Perez Construction Company Inc. He started building homes, then multifamily buildings and commercial construction. He was recognized by the Hispanic Business 400 Magazine twice as the first Hispanic in South Texas to bond million-dollar projects. After retiring he enjoyed spending his time traveling, learning his family history, spending time at the Perez family ranch, Las Viboras, and being surrounded by his family. 

A mass will be held Thursday February 21, 2019 at 12:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Hebbronville, Tx.

In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. 00600000000
