Arturo Garza

Arturo Garza

Arturo Garza, 61, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest Feb 13, 2019. He was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon; Mexico on March 5, 1957.

Arturo was a Youth Care Worker for Comprehensive Health Services, formerly International Educational Services. He loved his job, he saw it as an opportunity to help others. He enjoyed his co-worker’s friendship and would always go to work very happily. He was very positive, and his team-leadership skills would always stand out from life decision situations to simple tasks, both in and out of the job.

He was well known for his admirable charisma and jokes and how he took life always with the best approach. His straight – forward thinking was definitely something to enjoy in his company, as well as his wise advice and assistance towards others, that would define his best persona.

He was the 5th child of 7 siblings, Arturo is preceded in death by his parents, Eugenio Garza (+) and Constancia Hernandez (+). Survived by his 6-Siblings: Eugenio Garza, Noe Garza, Luis Omar Garza, Maria Sylvia Reinhart, Maria Socorro Reyes, and Hilario Javier Garza. Additionally, survived by many Nieces and Nephews, and many other family members most all from Mexico and others from the United States that loved him dearly.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Romelia Garza and two daughters Miriam Gabriela and Marcela Garza. He will be deeply missed.

From Romelia {His Beloved Wife}

Arturo was a great athlete in his younger years, great tennis player, softball player, swimming champion, hiker, zip liner, loved fishing and his latest passion was golf, and was anticipating a great game on Saturday.

From Miriam Gabriela {His Older Daughter}

Mi Papi was so full of life and one of the best persons I’ve ever met. He was a great man, he was indeed loved by many friends who equally enjoyed his company. He was not just the best dad one could ask for, but a best friend to lean on and learn from.

From Marcela {His Younger Daughter}

My dad was a goofball, there was never a dull moment when he was in the room. His kindness was as contagious as his smile was. He was the best advice giver you could ask for as well.
