Bertha B. Flores,81, of Texas, a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend entered into eternal rest on January 25, 2019 at Solara Hospital surrounded by loving family. She was born in Harlingen, Texas on September 6, 1937.

She is preceded in death by her mother Concepcion Zepeda Bazan; her husband Alfonso “Poncho†Flores; son Fidel Reyes Jr.; and her sister Connie Reyes.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Thelma (Joe) Fernandez, Gloria, Gloria Reyes, Irma (Lupe) Castillo; siblings Viola Galvan, Elida Bazan de Chew, Gilberto Bazan, and beloved cousin Chela Hernandez; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Bertha loved to dance with her husband “Ponchoâ€, listen to music, spend time with family and friends. She worked as a supervisor manager for many years till retirement. She also loved traveling with Poncho and enjoying their time at VFW. She cherished her time at cookouts and family gatherings. She will be greatly missed, especially her feisty personality.

Thank you to all whom assisted in her care throughout her ill health, especially in her last days.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, January 27,2019 from 2 to 9 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 4 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory-Flower Shop. In accordance with Mrs. Flores wishes she will be cremated.

    Thelma, Yvonne, and family, we send our most sincere condolences to all of you. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May you find the peace that you need to get through these most difficult days. Find solace in knowing that your beloved Mother and Grandmother is forever in your hearts and cherished memories. She is in heaven now dancing with her beloved Poncho. We love you!
