Joe Henry Davis

Joe Henry Davis, 71, of Brownsville, Texas devoted father, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville surrounded by loving family. He was born in Brownsville on May 27, 1947.

He is preceded in death by parents Henry E. and Carlotta V. Davis; siblings David and Gary Davis. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Michelle B. Davis and his sister Hilda Davis. Joe Henry was an active member of the VFW Post 2035. He loved his country and huge respect for his fellow veterans. He loved his daughter very much, cherished his sister and family. He remained close friends with his ex-wife Alice and never met a stranger that didn’t become a friend. He enjoyed and surrounded himself with friends. Always joking, always ready to go. His laugh and smile were contagious. He will be deeply missed. Joe Henry will never be forgotten and will be waiting to greet us for the next big party upstairs.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 5 to 9 p.m. with military honors at 6:30 p.m. and the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial mass will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Our Lord of Divine Mercy Church.
