Alfred “Al” John Ottolino

Alfred “Al†John Ottolino, 53, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 15, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Melrose Park, Illinois on April 9, 1965. He is preceded in death by his father Alfred Ottolino and sister in law Polly Infante.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Melinda Ottolino; mother Roseanne Ottolino; sons Michael and Mark Ottolino; sister Angela Cassady and many nieces and nephews. Al was an amazing husband to his wife Melinda for 28 years, a devoted father, a loving son and a true friend. As a life-long learner, he was constantly looking for ways to better himself and his family. As a successful business owner, his father moved his family from the Chicago area to Brownsville in 1979. He graduated from Hanna High School in 1983 and was a 1987 University of Texas-Austin graduate in Business. He worked in the family business with his father at Tek Turbine, and most recently as a CPA with Tom Sarytchoff P.C. In 2017 he successfully completed his exams to earn his status as a certified public accountant. He enjoyed watching his boys grow up and also the many activities in which they were involved. Al was an avid guitarist and a motorcyclist and loved getting together to play music and riding in the Hill Country.

Al will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. with the Celebration of Life at 7 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Services will conclude at the end of the service.
