Maria Lida Paredes, 79, of Brownsville, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by loving family. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Pablo Paredes; children Zulema (Mizael) Gomez, Pablo (Maria) Paredes Jr., Juana Maria (Eleazar) Villafranca, Carlos (Sonia) Paredes, Agustin (Rosalinda) Paredes, and Jesus (Maricela) Paredes; 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and numerous family members. Visitation will be today, Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. A chapel service will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
