Cristela G. Garcia, 91, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest Tuesday September 11, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brownsville, TX on December 28, 1926.
She is proceeded in death by
Parent: Hilario Gonzales and Maria Lopez
Brothers/Sister: Carmen Davila, Pete Gonzales, Luis Gonzales, Alfredo Gonzales, and Hilario Gonzales Jr.
Left to cherish her memory is
Her one and only son Herman Garcia Jr. and his wife Rosie Garcia
Grand children: Herman Garcia III, Juan Gabriel Garcia, and Leslie Ann Garcia.
Great Grandchildren : Aliyah Marie Garcia, Juan Gabriel Garcia Jr. , Herman Garcia IV, Devean Jordan Garcia, twins Landan Ty and Lance Ian Garcia, Aidan Israel Garcia , Kevin Alejandro Garcia, Anthony Herman Garcia, Audrina Grace Garcia, Branden Garcia.
Great-Great Grandson : Liam James Morales
Cristela worked for many years as a bookkeeper and notary public helping the less fortunate. She was recognized for her dedication in teaching ESL classes to over two hundred individuals seeking citizenship. Cristela was a devoted Catholic and member of Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She lived by two values, God and family. She will forever be missed, but never forgotten. May she enter the gates of heaven and her soul rest in eternal peace.
