George E. Svetanoff (Gene) of Port Isabel, Tx passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018.
Born in Gary, Indiana November 15, 1930. He was employed by Inland Steel Company for 37 years.
Retired to Monticello, Indiana in 1988 were he enjoyed living on the lake and worked in Indiana Beach for 15 yrs. Traveled for many years and moved to Port Isabel , Tx. In 2001.
Preceded in death by his daughter Trudi Scott.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Judy (Koch) Svetanoff; childrenMicheal (Barb) Svetanoff ,
Lorri Svetanoff Gordon, William Rains, Daniel Rains and his brother Robert Svetanoff ;
twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, five great– great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Gene was such a nice guy, a good neighbor to our family and a loving father to his children. He had a great sense of humor as well.
