Virginia Ortiz, 42, of Los Fresnos, Texas devoted wife, mother, godmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen surrounded by loving family after fighting a courageous battle against cancer.
She is preceded in death by her father Jose Nemecio Ortiz. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Raul Reyna; mother Maria Gloria Ortiz; children Kassandra L. Reyna, Alexandra L. Reyna and Samantha E. Reyna; her only dog Changa Reyna; siblings Corina (Edward) Ortiz Delagarza, Jose Nemecio (Claudia) Ortiz, Marisa (Daniel) Ortiz Cosme, and Jorge Luis (Anabel) Ortiz; and 10 godchildren. She was a strong will woman who was a great-loving mother to her daughters, nieces, nephews, and godchildren. She loved spending quality time with her family and always welcomed everyone into her home.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral mass will be held today, Friday, June 15, 2018 at 12 noon at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with burial to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

    My sincere condolences to the family. I will forever remember you smiling full of life. The times we spent visiting and staying at your house surrounded by family and friends. Your battle was long and you fought it step by step with your loved ones by your side. No more pain your with your DAD and AMA. RIP
