Elvia V. Gonzalez, 75, of Brownsville, passed away on Friday June 8, 2018, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, surrounded by loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luis G. and Elvira Gonzalez, brothers, Angel, Roman, and Juan Gonzalez, and sister Lilia Garcia. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Roberto Antonio Gonzalez, grandson, Gian Sebastian Gonzalez, and granddaughter, Zoe Yong Gonzalez; brothers, Francisco(Linda) and Nicolas(Gloria); niece Rosie Toynton; brother-in-law, Raymond Garcia(+Lilia), and sister-in-law, Rosa Gonzalez(+Roman), and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018, from 1-9pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, June 11, 2018, at 1pm at Christ the King Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

It is always hard to lose a loved one. My Tia Vita had a big heart and always showed me love. I will miss her stories, her jokes, her card games, her laughter. I will miss her very much.
