| Balvina Valdiviez, 87, of Brownsville, Texas passed away on February 23, 2018 at her residence. She was a great mother and father to her children. She worked hard at Levis, Haggars, C.R., Anthony’s, BISD Food Service, and Weiners. She is preceded in death by her parents Juanita T. Valdiviez and Damian Valdiviez; sister Consuelo (Jesus) Lozano; brother Damian (Gloria) Valdiviez and Gilberto Valdiviez. She is survived by her sister Gloria (Roberto) Leal, Rosalinda (Jose+) Castillo, and her son Ramon (Hirma) Cruz Jr., Maria Elena Cruz, Maria Christina (Gregorio) Guillen, Ruben Carlos Cruz, and Rene Cruz; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be a funeral mass held on Tuesday Feb. 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. |
