Graciela C. Ybarra of Brownsville, TX, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, returned home from her journey here on earth, February 15, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.  Her journey began on April 10, 1957, when she was born to Felix B. Carrion, and Guadalupe D. Carrion.  

She graduated from Homer Hanna High School, was employed at Levi Strauss & Co. for 25 years, and was currently employed at M&M Pediatrics. She was a kind considerate, giving, and selfless soul. She had a very cheerful disposition about her and enjoyed life to the fullest with the simple pleasures it had to offer. She greeted everyone with a smile and called them by their name. The greatest passion of her life was being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, family and friends.  She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carlos S. Ybarra, her parents Felix and Guadalupe Carrion. 

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children Stefanie Ann (Octavio) Gonzalez, Carlos (Margarita) Ybarra, Roberto “Robbie†Perez, Jr.; her treasured gems, her beautiful grandchildren, Victoria Ann and Isaiah Felix Ybarra; her sisters, Belinda (Raul) Reyes, Susana (Sacramento) DiosDado, Maria De La Luz (Rene) Rodriguez, and Yvette (Alfredo) Aguirre; her brothers Juan (Oralia) Carrion and Felix (Maria) Carrion, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Join her family in the celebration of her life from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2018, with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Monday February 19th with a Funeral Liturgical service to follow at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Rd, Brownsville, TX. Committal services will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

    My heartfelt condolences on the loss of your sister, Gracie. I had the pleasure of meeting her. She was a sweet and caring individual who greeted everyone with a smile.
