Francisca N. Silva, 86, of Brownsville, Texas, passed away peacefully at home in Texas City, Texas and has journeyed on to our savior’s hands. She was born March 9, 1931, in Las Prietas, Texas, Cameron County, to Francisca Reyes Hill and General Panfilio Natera. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Juan M. Silva, her son’s Ricardo and Xavier Silva, and great granddaughter Amanda Lee Silva.
Francisca worked at Rich-Sea Pak and retired in 1999. She was a very loving, dedicated and supportive Pastor’s Wife. She was such a giving person and always had her doors open to anyone in need. As a grandmother, she was very nurturing and demonstrated compassion and instilled family values in each of them. Her strong belief in God and her faith has continued to keep the Silva family together. Her strong-willed character leaves a lifetime legacy to her children to face any issues of life by trusting in God and having faith in the Lord. Francisca is survived by her children, Robert Silva, David Silva, Nancy Trevino, Janie Rodriguez (George) all of Brownsville, Texas; Olga Rodriguez, Alicia Silva (Nick), Frances Roman (Enrique), Angelica Silva (Luciano) all of Texas City, Texas. Also surviving are 45 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. A chapel service will take place on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. 125 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, TX.
