Robert Francis Kilroy, of Brownsville, Texas, was welcomed home by God on February 3, 2018 at the age of 91.
Robert was born in the District of Columbia and after living on East Coast and then in the Southwest, moved to Brownsville with his wife and children in 1960. Robert (known best as Bob) was preceded in death by his wife Helen, and his two sons Eugene (Rosie) and Matthew (Sharon).
Left to cherish his memory is his son John (Debbie) Kilroy, his daughter Mary (Jose) Hernandez, and his loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Bob a devout Catholic who held his faith close to his heart, will always be remembered for his love and devotion to his family. He frequently found relaxation when working on his home and automobiles, hunting, fishing, and just spending time with loved ones. Most of all, though, Bob who never met a stranger, will always be remembered for his willingness to lend a helping hand to family and friends.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. 2800 Rockwell Dr., Brownsville, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a mass intention be said in his honor or a donation be made to the charity of your choice.
