E. Robert Bossé


E. Robert (Bob) Bossé passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in Brownsville, Texas. He was born in New Bedford, MA on September 13, 1925 to Adélard J. and Melina (Paul) Bossé.
Bob graduated from St. Anthony Elementary and Normadin Jr. High schools in New Bedford as well as Benedictine High School in Richmond, VA. He also attended SE Mass Institute of Technology in New Bedford and the University of Richmond in Virginia. He served in the US Marine Corps during WW2 and was a life member of American Legion, AMVETS and the National Rifle Association. He held the position of Purchasing Agent at Vacuum Seal Corporation and Ace Cabinet Corp in New Bedford. He was employed by N-Star for 30 years, was President of Local 333 Brotherhood of Utility Workers of New England, held varied management before retiring in 1986. In retirement, he remained active as President of the Manufactured Home Owners Association of America and Parliamentarian of South Texans for Good Government. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Raymond A. and Adélard J. Bossé Jr. Bob is survived by his wife Iota I. Bossé, a daughter Rosemarie F. Farland of New Bedford, MA, a son Tron R. Bossé of CA and a whole brigade of cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. with military honors at 6:30 p.m. by American Legion Post 43 of Brownsville and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.     Uncle Bob, you were always a cherished member of this family as a brother to dad “Rick” Adelard J. Bosse Jr.
    So many life long memories with all us cousins nagging you with fun and laughter. RIP
