Fernando Xavier “FX” Rosillo

Fernando Xavier “FX†Rosillo of Brownsville, Texas devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother,and friend entered into eternal rest on December 14, 2017 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by loving family. He was born in Mexico D.F. on September 5,1944.
He is preceded in death by his mother Elvira Silva Rosillo; children Michael Rosillo, Celina Rosillo Phillip; and his sisters Amalia Jones and Teresa Rosillo. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Virginia Ward Rosillo; a son Eric X. Rosillo; siblings Ramiro Rosillo and Carmen Ramos Rosillo; grandchildren Michael G. Rodriguez and Sean A. Rodriguez.
F.X. played many roles throught his educational career: teacher, counselor, Federal Programs Director, administrator, and Transportation Director. He worked for Brownsville I.S.D., Robstown I.S.D., Dallas I.S.D., and Los Fresnos I.S.D. During his 35 years in the educational field, many lives were touched by his fairness and professional manner.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Pallbearers will be Joe Ceballos, Michael Rodriguez, Sean Rodriguez, Eric Rosillo, Harry Ward, John Ward, Ramiro Rosillo, Christopher Jones, honorary pallbearer will be Rey Farias.
