Rachel Barajas

Rachel Barajas, 66, of Brownsville, Texas devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on December 11, 2017. She was born on June 29, 1951.

She is preceded in death by her parents Adan and Juana Garza; her husband Jose Guadalupe Barajas; her son Jose Guadalupe Barajas Jr. and a brother Gilberto Garza. Left to cherish her memory are her children Maria G. (Julio) Navarro, Julio (Cynthia) Guerrero Jr., and Bianka (Ruben) Soto; siblings Noe, Adan, Abel, Juan Jose, Adan N., Josie, Guadalupe, Eva, Yolanda and Lety N.; grandchildren Enrique, Brianna, Hernan, Laisha, Christian, Kaleb, Fernanda, Roberta, Becky, Jessica, Mia, and Julietta.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 14 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, December 15, 2017 from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel with burial to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
