Elpidia Huerta, 38 of Brownsville, Texas devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, entered eternal rest on October 15, 2017 at Sunshine Haven Special Care Facility, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Veracruz, Mexico on November 16, 1978. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Roman Huerta Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Angelita Huerta (6 yrs) and Roman Huerta Jr. (5 yrs): her parents Alejandro Guzman and Tomasa Castillo de Guzman; 5 brothers; Conrado, Fernando, Guillermo, Francisco and Alejandro, 4 sisters; Inez, Ana, Ruth and Eduarda.
Elpidia was a great humanitarian with a heart full of kindness, joy and love. She was a great daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Her smile instantly captivated you and gave much love. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, being a mom 100% but above all she enjoyed helping those in need. Elpidia had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing and praising the Lord in the church choir.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be a funeral mass held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Christ the King Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. with a burial to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
