Eulogio Casarez Jr., 79 of Brownsville, TX devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend entered into eternal rest Saturday October 07, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, TX on February 11, 1938. He is preceded in death by his wife Martha Casarez, father Eulogio Casares Sr., mother Inez Nieto Casares, brothers Jorge L. and Juan Casarez, sisters Santa Gonzalez Casarez, Maria Del Rosario Hernandez and Tomasa Paz.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Marco A. and Jesus Hernandez, Marta Alicia Salas, and Tomas Casarez; siblings Dionisio, Antonio, Jose Guadalupe, Carmen, and José Serefino Casares; 11-grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Eulogio had a heart of gold who could never say “NO†to those in need or who asked for his help. He was kind, loving, generous, loyal, faithful, honest and would light up a room with his smile. He was devoted to his family and friends. He had a love and gift for the art of carpentry. His passion in the trade was evident in every piece of work he created. His faith in God never wavered. He truly was an honorable and great man who impacted many. Those who knew Eulogio were blessed with his love, kindness and friendship. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be a funeral mass held on Wednesday October 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.     Estimada familia Casarez. Mi más sentido pésame. La muerte de un ser querido es uno de los golpes más grandes que experimenta la familia y amigos íntimos. No hay duda que durante esos tiempos tristes y difíciles, todos necesitamos consuelo. La biblia dice que nuestro creador es el “Dios de todo consuelo”. En 2 Corintios 1:4 dice que él nos consuela “para que nosotros podamos consolar a los [que se hallan] en cualquier clase de tribulación”. Nos quiere tanto que nos promete una resurrección en Juan 5:28,29. Quería compartir este pequeño mensaje de consuelo con su familia.
