Sixta (Garcia) Figueroa


Sixta (Garcia) Figueroa, 86, of Olmito, Texas, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on August 23, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas on September 20, 1930.

She is preceded in death by her parents Emilio and Juana Garcia; husband Amador Figueroa; siblings Cecilio, Paula, Martin, Domingo, Juan, Dominga, Eliseo, and Angelica Garcia. Left to cherish her memory is her children Roberto (Beatriz), Rebeca (Mario), Reynaldo (Maricela), Ninfa, Amador Jr. (Blanca), Manuela (Johnny), Juana (Geoff), and Jesus (Nora).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be a chapel service held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory with burial to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville. (956) 350-8485

    Estimada familia Garcia-Figueroa. Lamento escuchar de la muerte de su ser querido. La muerte causa mucha tristeza, lagrimas y es dificil de soportar. La Biblia nos dice que Jesus mismo “cedio a las lagrimas” cuando su amigo Lazaro murio. El mensaje de la Biblia nos trae alivio en esos momentos angustiosos. En 2 Corintios 1:3 se refiere a nuestro padre celestial como “el Dios de todo Consuelo”. Nos Consuela saber que segun Revelacion 21:4, la muerte y el sufrimiento terminara. Ademas, segun la Biblia, en Juan 5:28,29 nos promete una resurreccion.. Espero que estos textos biblicos les de una esperanza y los consuele.
