Engr. Gideon Formacion Padillo, 65, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest, August 15, 2017 at his residence surrounded by loving family. He was born in Passi, Iloilo, Philippines. He is preceded in death by his parents Cantalicio Lagos Padillo and Remedios Formacion Padillo, and siblings, Belen, Zoilo and Emma Padillo.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anirose Padillo, his children, Ariane Joy and Archimedes, along with his siblings, Gloria Padillo Pama, Lilia Padillo Padilla, Clarita Padillo, Marino Padillo Sr., Lorna Padillo Provido and Naomi Padillo and numerous nieces and nephews. He was very patient, kind and dependable. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He loved politics, sports and traveling.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 18, 2017 from 1-9 p.m., with Moments of Reflection to be held at 7 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. A Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 9 a.m. at the Church of Christ on Price Rd. Burial will follow to Buena Vista Burial Park. Funeral services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, 657 Springmart Blvd. (956) 350-8485

    He was a good Christian man. He was my neighbor for 15 years. It was a real blessing knowing him through these years. He always had a quiet gentle voice no matter the circumstance. He was always ready to help especially with good timely advice. He had a wonderful laugh and we heard it often. He was a gifted gardener and his backyard could be showcased in a magazine for gardening. We will really miss you Kuya Dion! We pray his family will find comfort in this difficult time.
