Rafael Cardenas, 69, of Brownsville, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his parents Domingo and Carmen Cardenas; siblings Lydia C. Kelly and Rene Cardenas. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Juanita Cardenas; children Luz M. Cardenas, Rafael Cardenas Jr., Elsa I. Cardenas, Griselda Martinez, Lourdes A. Cardenas-Luna, Nidia A. Dawson, Israel Cardenas, Erica R. Lardizabal, 29 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, Loving brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Rafael loved pets and will be missed by his dog Chiquita.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the celebration of life at 7:00 p.m. Services will conclude at the end of the visitation.
