Enrique V. Ortega, 61, of Brownsville, TX ,entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 8th 2017. Rick was born in Rio Hondo, TX. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was an optician for most of his life and greatly enjoyed helping others through his work.
He is preceded in death by his father Seledonio J. Ortega and mother Maria de la Luz Villafuerte. He is survived by his children Enrique Ortega Jr. and Vanessa C. Ortega, and grandson, who he loved dearly, Spencer A. Vidos. He will be missed by his brothers Ruben, Reynaldo, Celedonio Jr, and Feliciano and sister Raquel, many relatives, and numerous friends. The memories of him will be cherished by all those who knew him.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13th from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with memorial service at 7 p.m. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, 657 Springmart Blvd in Brownsville TX.
