Richard Torres Arcega, 44, of Brownsville, Texas passed away on April 19, 2017 at his residence surrounded by loving family. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be a funeral mass held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lord of Divine Mercy Catholic Church with services concluding at the end of the funeral mass. (956) 350-8485

Estimada familia Arcega. Lamento escuchar de la muerte de su ser querido. La muerte causa mucha tristeza, lagrimas y es dificil de soportar. La Biblia nos dice que Jesus mismo “cedio a las lagrimas” cuando su amigo Lazaro murio. El mensaje de la Biblia nos trae alivio en esos momentos angustiosos. En 2 Corintios 1:3 se refiere a nuestro padre celestial como “el Dios de todo Consuelo”. Nos Consuela saber que segun Revelacion 21:4, la muerte y el sufrimiento terminara. To the Arcega family. I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Richard “Sega” was one of my closest friends during my time in South Texas. He always made those around him happy with his infectious smile and happy go lucky attitude. This world lost a real treasure with his passing. I will cherish the memories I have of Richard as he was one of the best men I have ever known. My thought and prayers go to Richard’s family and to all those who considered him a dear friend.
I am truly saddened by Richard’s passing and I offer my deepest condolences to his wife and son, as well as his extended family. I have very fond memories of Richard which date back to 1998. He was an honorable man and a gentle soul who will live on forever.
