Jose Angel “JoeJoe†Trevino Jr., 44, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest, on January 21, 2017 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, surrounded by loving family. He was born in Brownsville, TX on November 15, 1972. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Juan de Dios Trevino and Lucia Rincon Trevino, his maternal grandfathers, Mike Garza and Valentine Vasquez, along with several aunts and uncles.
Left to cherish his memory is his spouse, Maria Esther Medrano, his parents, Jose Angel Trevino Sr. and Beatriz V. Trevino, along with his children, Cassandra Trevino, Iesha Trevino, Tamara Vasquez, and Rudy Medrano. Also surviving are his siblings, Juan Jose(Danielle) Trevino, Lilia Jean(Carlos)Alvear, along with his nieces and nephews, Carlos Alejandro Alvear Jr., Julia Jean Alvear, and Gianna Nicole Trevino.
Jose Angel “JoeJoe” Trevino Jr. was a 1991 graduate of Homer Hanna High School. He worked as a substitute teacher for BISD for many years, JoeJoe loved spending time at Boca Chica Beach, fishing and being with his family. His passion was always helping others, in any way he could. JoeJoe was a devoted Christian, and was a member of ICC church. He was loved by his family and friends. Joejoe valued quality time with his family, and truly believed that life was a “Gift”. The family would like to thank everyone that kept Joejoe in their prayers through his battle. The family rejoices in knowing that our Lord has called his son home to suffer no more.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 1-9 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Brownsville, with a prayer service to be held at 7 pm. Services conclude at the end of the evening. Funeral services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory at 657 Springmart Blvd. 956-350-8485
