He is preceded in death by his parents Jose Angel Hernandez Sr. and Angelica A. Hernandez. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Consuelo B. Hernandez, his daughters Angelica M. Ramos (Eddie Ramos Sr.), Cristina I. Hernandez (Josue Hernandez Sr.), and Joann M. Hernandez. Grandchildren Josue Hernandez Jr., Rafaela I. Hernandez, Jose Angel Hernandez, Aria A. Ramos, Eddie Ramos Jr. and Reyna E. Ramos. His Sisters Mary Dianne McCorcle, Denise Hernandez, Homero Hernandez and Hector O. Hernandez and a numerous extended family.

Jose Angel Hernandez will be always known as Joe, Jr. or as some of you would call him “Boyâ€. He will be remembered as a man who had a huge heart and loved everyone in his life.  Always having that beautiful smile with those dimples of him and such a positive vibe shining out of him. He would try to help everyone one way or another.

He was a Master Electrician and owner of Hernandez Electric. He kept his dad’s legacy alive. The company has been part of the Brownsville Community for over forty-one years. Through their, company they were able to teach family and friends to have their own successful companies.  He loved his trait that was passed down from his dad. He helped light up many beautiful homes for so many families.

Boy was a beloved husband to his wife that he cherished with all his heart, sharing forty wonderful loving years. They would look at each other with so much love. He loved to see her smile. He would come back from work always with a bouquet of flowers and they would always place them next to their altar of the Virgin Mary. His baby girls and his grandbabies were his life. Always showing them how much he loved them. His son in laws were his rock to keep his family strong and united. His brothers and sister he loved very much and was always making sure they were in good health. His baby sister, Denise, he always saw her as one of his baby girls. He made sure she was well taken care of and had everything she needed.

When it came to his family, even his friends were his family. He loved every single one of you! He adored his huge family.

He would never say good bye he would always say, “Que Dios los bendigaâ€. With that being said we do not say good bye. We tell him “Que Dios lo bendigaâ€.

He was an altar server at St. Tomas Catholic Church in Brownsville, Texas and also, attended Brownsville High School and he was enrolled in the ROTC.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 1:00 – 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
