Cristina Garcia Castillo, 89, of Brownsville, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents Viviano and Luz Garcia; son Manuel Edward Castillo; siblings: Viviano Garcia Jr., Magdalena Moody, Miguel Garcia, Guadalupe Garcia, and Luis Garcia.
Left to cherish her memory is her children: Berta C. (Raul) Arteaga, Carlos, Emilio, Cecilia, Rolando, and Jaime Castillo; grandchildren: Briana K. Arteaga, Ricardo R. Arteaga, Eduardo Castillo, Everardo Castillo, Alex Garcia, and Alejandra Castillo.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 1:00 – 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
