Aurora F. Flores, 81, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 4, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Abasolo, Coahuila, Mexico on December 23, 1934. Aurora was a devout Catholic and member of St. Eugenio Comunidad Angel. Her children were her life. She loved Baking , cooking, gardening, and spending time with loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jose Manuel Flores; and by her daughter, Sylvia Flores.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Virginia F. Hamby, Janie F. (Andres Jr.) Garcia, sons, Juan Manuel Flores, Reynaldo Flores, Guadalupe Flores, and Steven Flores. Also surviving are her siblings Estella Flores and Genaro Flores, along with 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held todayNovember 6, 2016, from 2-9 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Brownsville, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 at 10 am at San Eugenio de Mazenod Catholic Church in Brownsville with burial to follow to Buena Vista Burial Park.
