Laurie M. (Lorenzo) Kieffer passed away in Brownsville Saturday, July 23, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
Laurie was born to Martin and Hazel Kieffer of Edinburg. After high school and serving in the Armed Forces he worked various jobs including Schlumberger, Donna Fruit Company, and the 281 Flea Market in Edinburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ada (Koen) Kieffer, his son, Charles Martin Kieffer, his daughter, Katie Kieffer-Smith, and a brother, Fred Kieffer. He is survived by his brother, Louie M. Kieffer of Edinburg, his sister, Margaret Hesler of Illinois, his son-in-law, Daniel Smith of San Antonio, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Gabby Ugalde, of Edinburg, of whom he was very fond.
At this time there will be no services. The family will have a celebration of his life at a later date.
