Delia (Ureste) Alvarado

Delia (Ureste) Alvarado, 73, of Los Fresnos, TX, devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went to be with our Lord, on June 3, 2016, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, surrounded by loving family. She was born on November 15, 1942.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Octavio and Santos Ureste, and her siblings, Erasto, Agustin and Antonio Ureste, along with her sister Irene U. Garcia.
She is survived by her children; Conrado Jr. (Alma), Roberto, Jose Angel, Francisco (Deanna) and Jesus(Delia) Saldivar, Delia (Aron) Salinas and Laurie (Polo) Sauceda. Also left to cherish her memory are her 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was loving and generous to her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will also be remembered for her kitchen skills during all holiday seasons. She prioritized her life by reading her bible, prayer and watching western movies. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held on June 5, 2016, from 1-9 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory in Brownsville, with a prayer service to be held at 5 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016, at 2 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
