Maria E. Torres, 73, of Brownsville, Texas devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on March 17, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Port, Isabel, Texas on February 14, 1943.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Guadalupe and Rogerio Garza.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband; Ricardo P. Torres, children; Ricardo Jr. (Elizabeth) Torres, Michael W. (Lucero) Torres, Claudia (Charles) Torres McGlothen, siblings; Rogerio Garza Jr., Gonzalo Garza, Olga Castellon, Juan Garza, Mario Garza, and Jose Garza, grandchildren; Esteban Torres, Michael Torres Jr., Thomas Torres, Anthony McGlothen, and Aaron McGlothen.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 2-9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. A mass will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church with services concluding at the end of the mass. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Services have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Crematorium. (956) 350-8485
